DON’T DO IT! psst: If you need help planning your kitchen layout, click hereto read our how-to post.

We did this a few times before we understood the importance of planning… trust us, it never works out well. Will you have a prep station in a corner? Incorporate open shelving anywhere? Will there be a breakfast nook or coffee bar? An island? Before getting too deep into lighting, we first suggest finalizing your layout - especially cabinet and appliance placement. In order to determine which types of lighting work best for your kitchen, you’ll want to have a very (very very) good idea of how the space will be used. We’re also sharing what our lighting plan looks like for our Pearl Airbnb kitchen project that Lowe’s is sponsoring at the very end of the post so keep scrolling! We’re excited to share our process for creating a lighting plan and a few tips & tricks to help you tackle it yourself. Because kitchens are so multi-functional and get such heavy use, it’s worth investing time to think through a solid lighting plan. This week, we’re back to chat all about lighting in the kitchen.

They are fast, clean, friendly, & professional.Note: I told them that I would install the new dangling light accessories, that is why that light looks incomplete.A big thank you to Lowe’s Home Improvement for sponsoring this post and supporting Beginning in the Middle. They noticed the bulbs I brought for the light are different than my existing pot lights and asked if that was desired.I am literally blown away by their level of service. This was particularly impressive to me.* They installed the new breakfast table light in under ten minutes. The price is great, and everything works as expected. Some highlights of my interaction with the team:* Asked to see the room above the kitchen so he has an idea of where the water pipes are.* Asked to shut off the main water valve as a precaution* Using a rubbermaid-like-tub on their drill to collect the dust* The gentleman knew exactly what light-temperature my existing pot lights are. They taught me how to adjust the height of my new light. I went with their suggestionThey used covers to keep the home clean. They provided a suggestion on capping the kitchen light above the stove, & will help me install a new breakfast-table light. They came in and gave me a suggestion on how many pot lights are would look nice.

I was very impressed with Mr Pot Light!Hence this is why I am sharing my experience with the google review. From my initial contact to the completion of the job the this was top drawer first class operation.I have no problem recommending Mr Pot Light the price is a great deal and the workmanship is 10 out of 10I took some photos of the day some before, during and after the installation.Ī team of 3 gentlemen came to my place on time.

Part way thru the the owner showed up (John) this was a Friday afternoon John rolled up his sleeves and got to work so his guys could leave early for the weekend. The crew covered the work area with plastic and make sure they cleaned as they moved thru the house. The gents were extremely friendly, professions skilled electricians. This project consisted of the replacement of the the old MR-16 pot lights 50 in total to the new led lights. On time the two gents arrived and went to work after a quick review of the task at hand. We just had this work done and what a difference in the look of the ceiling and the light quality.
